Update from 2020-21:
Another cover where I pulled my hair attempting to faithfully reproduce the specific tones and timbre of the original. What always haunted me, long after even listening to the song itself, were those opening strings. Seven seconds of absolute Heaven. Shivers down the spine, arms outstretched upwards, mind a thousand miles elsewhere and downstream, held buoyant by the divine voice and production of Mr. Martin. I love the original track so so so so so much. It saved my life, each and every time, repeatedly and without fail or even the slightest hesitancy, and it will continue to save my life for all the wretched years to come. That much I know.
