(Update from ten years later: First batch of tunes that I'm not morbidly embarrassed by. I was getting a handle on the kinds of moods, themes, melodies, structures I was interested in at the time, clearly without the knowledge or skill to match my enthusiasm. Leaned heavily on Garageband, that's for sure.

Misguided, naive, ham-fisted, graceless. Grasping at straws. Stumbling through the dark. Finding my sealegs. A decade on and I still haven't found the fucking things. Eh.)
