An exercise in restraint.
Dedicated to Novaya Zemlya and to the prospect of traversing its forbidden terrain on my own one day.

Dedicated to Panoramio: A wonderful portal through which seemingly endless eye-opening hours of virtual globetrotting were digitally travelogued. Gone but not forgotten. R.I.P.
Not dedicated to Google. Fuck you.

Update from 2020-21:
Think this could very well be the first ambient composition where everything really clicked together. An appropriate synthesis of the above influences without entirely ripping any of them off (that I can tell at least). The prominent high-pitched ringing tones were meant to simulate tinnitus, a (still permanent) condition my mother had developed at the time. My way of approximating what that might sound and feel like for her. Generative empathy, in processed-soundform. I also still deeply, deeply miss Panoramio. Nothing ever quite like it.
